The Taj has been aptly described by the great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore as a teardrop on the face of time.

The next stop for the day will be the Red Fort- which is 2.5 km northwest of the Taj Mahal. This is referred to as the most important fort in India. All great Mughal Emperors such as Babur, Humayun, Akbar, Jehangir, Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb lived here. It is a perfect testament to the glory of the Mughal Empire. The last monument for the day will be Etmad Ud Daulah a Mughal mausoleum often described as a 'Jewel box' & also referred to sometimes as the 'Baby Tāj'.
